How Long Does It Take to Get an E-Signature in Turkey? (2026)

The first question most people ask is: "I applied, when will I get it?" The answer depends on when you complete the application, when you give your e-Government approval and where you are.

1. Online application: a few minutes

Filling in the form takes a few minutes. For a personal e-signature you need your Turkish ID number, contact details and a valid ID document. You can pay by credit card or bank transfer.

2. e-Government approval starts the clock

After applying, you give an identity approval on e-Government. Under BTK rules, day or night, there is a 180-minute (3-hour) rule after this approval. Even if the USB token reaches you earlier, the certificate is loaded only after the 180 minutes, as required by law. The sooner you approve, the sooner you can start using it.

3. Delivery depends on where you are
